I am a seventh-grader at Twin Hills Middle School in Sebastopol.
I enjoy reading, writing, dancing (jazz and hip hop), playing basketball
and coaxing a haunting jazz tune from my saxophone. I live with
my mom, dad, older sister, Emily, Grandpa Marty, two dogs and two
cats. I love to travel to new places, and am looking forward to
going to France with my mom and grandmother in June.
For my Tikkun Olam project, I spent six weeks last summer tutoring
two sisters, Irene and Fatima. The girls go to Apple Blossom School,
and because English is their second language, they were having trouble
keeping up in math and reading. I made up games and exercises to
help them practice, and now they are doing quite well. They helped
me with my Spanish as well.
