We are a spirited and diverse
community of people from a
wide variety of backgrounds. Together we explore Jewish-centered paths
of ritual, learning, song, community-building and mindfulness.
Ner Shalom offers Kabbalat
Shabbat services to welcome
the Sabbath, typically on the first and third Fridays of each month,
and a
family-friendly Shabbat Dinner on the second Friday. We
celebrate holidays together and mark the life cycle events of our
members.
We welcome visitors, new
members, interfaith families,
LGBTQ families, families with special needs - and you.
Ellen Atzilah Solot singing K'chu
T'rumah,
taken from the book of Exodus
(this might take a moment to load):
K'chu t'rumah kol n'div libo.
Bring your gifts, all you of generous heart!
We will sing this chant at our Friday night service on February 19, the
week of Parashat Terumah, the
Torah portion from which this chant is drawn. This chant allows us to
breathe deeply into our personal gifts - knowledge, insight, love,
listening - and offer them up to our community and our world.
