Please join us for a traditional Seudah Shelishit. We will sit together at the table, eat a light meal, sing songs, tell stories until the end of the Sabbath, and culminate our time together with Havdalah as we celebrate the coming of the new week.
Seudah Shelishit, the "Third Meal", is the third and final meal of Shabbat. We have stepped away from the complexity and flash of weekday living and entered a space where we identify not just as a body, but as a soul. We are trying to keep the Shabbat spirit from leaving, and to continue to focus on all that is important: family, friends, song and Spirit and wisdom. The sun is setting, and the cycle is complete, brought to a close by Havdalah. Hopefully we bring some of this feeling into our week.
Bring something light (salads, fish, cakes/cookies) for the potluck and join us at Ner Shalom for this special time.
