Nitzanim Sunday Morning Mystery School with Gesher

Nitzanim Sunday Morning Mystery School with Gesher

For pre- and post- B Mitzvah young people.

Congregation Ner Shalom is part of the Reconstructionist movement.  We will take this literally, and ask the question, "How do I reconstruct my Jewish heritage so that it is satisfying, engaging, and joyful for me so that Judaism becomes my self-determined and constantly renewed life choice?"

This will be an active, participatory laboratory and adventure for developing our individual relationships to God, legacy, happiness, a meaningful life, and each other.  We will connect with or discover or craft Jewish tools and rituals for self-expression of our Judaism as it is evolving.

About The Teacher:

Gesher Calmenson is a former Education Director at Ner Shalom (6 years) and trained as a Jewish Family Educator. He was a leader in the Jewish Family Room program in Sonoma County for 4 years.  He is the founder of Remember Us: The Holocaust Bnai Mitzvah Project and led the project for 10 years. Currently, he teaches bar/bat mitzvah students and a course on the spiritual attributes of the Hebrew letters.
