Who’s who of civil rights lawyers to rock the house for two good causes!
The Coolerators will play rhythm and blues at their “Dance for the Good” party.
In this painful time, Ner Shalom is proclaiming this event to be a dance for peace.
At the band’s request, half of the proceeds will benefit the Peoples Fund of Maui and PONO legal, dedicated to assist with Maui’s fire recovery. At Ner Shalom’s request, half of the proceeds will benefit Standing Together, a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization dedicated to peace.
But who are the Coolerators?
The Coolerators are among the who’s who of legal champions for civil rights. They have performed around the Bay area to bring relief and a chance to dance cares away for a night. Performers include: Eva Paterson, President of the Equal Justice Society on vocals; lawyer Elizabeth Cabraser on drums; Assemblyman David Chiu on violin; developer and former Presidio Trust president Paula Collins; employment lawyer Cheryl Stevens on vocals; mediator and labor arbitrator Bob Hirsch on guitar; Brad Seligman on guitar, harmonica and vocals; USF law professor Bill Hing on bass guitar; and Bill Tamayo on keyboards and accordion.
