At the Edge of Hope: Emerging from Tisha B’Av

  • Ner Shalom and Zoom Sanctuary 85 La Plaza Cotati, CA, 94931 United States (map)

Led by Shoshana Fershtman, Rinat Abastado, Reb Judith Goleman, and Atzilah Solot

(yes, Atzilah in person!!)

At the end of Tisha B’Av, our holy day marking the destructions of the Jewish past and the grief of today, our liturgy turns to hope. We sit with Shechinah in Exile, and begin to imagine the possibility of Her redemption, ushering in an era of messianic consciousness, or what R. Zalman (z""l) called Gaia consciousness– a time of thorough peace and gentle co-existence, an awareness of the interconnectedness of all peoples and all species. It has been a year of such terrible sorrow. How about now? Wouldn’t now be a good time for Messiah to come? Join us for meditation, chanting, piyyutim, and prayer.
