Since the escalation of violence in Israel and Gaza in October 2023, both Islamophobic and antisemitic incidents have surged in the U.S. Representing a premier educational organization on Islamophobia and antisemitism, a panel featuring Maha Elgenaidi (Muslim speaker), Karen Stiller (Jewish speaker), and Dr. Zachary Markwith (Facilitator) will shed light on these forms of bigotry, address their impact on Americans, and offer recommendations on strategies to combat these prejudices at both interpersonal and community levels.
Throughout the webinar, the speakers will entertain questions and have a discussion with the audience.

The Speakers include:
Maha Elgenaidi is the Founder and Executive Director of the Islamic Networks Group (ING). With a passion for fostering understanding and cultural competency, she has authored training handbooks on outreach for Muslim Americans and developed training programs for organizations and institutions on cultural literacy and bridging diverse religious and ethnic communities.

Karen Stiller has been with the Jewish Community Relations Council since 2002, first as Peninsula Director and currently as Senior Director of Jewish Affairs. She has been deeply involved in interfaith work, including helping start up two local interfaith councils. She was recently appointed as a Human Relations Commissioner for the City of Fremont.
