Chanukah Card Making (new, improved date!!)

The Iris Folding Way

Have you been wondering what to do with all the Chanukah wrapping paper that has accumulated over the years? Put that unused wrapping paper to good use by making your own Iris Folding Chanukah Cards.

Iris Folding is a technique that originated in 20th century Holland. Colored or patterned papers are folded and cut into strips. The folded strips are then taped into place over a pattern, creating a spiraling design that resembles the iris of an eye or camera.

Originally, Dutch crafters cut their strips from used envelopes. No need to purchase supplies.
