Make-Create-Celebrate

with Reb Mia Zimman and Eliz McKoy of Artaluma

Hands on Jewish exploration through the arts. We make arts and crafts inspired by Jewish themes and values in a supportive environment.

This program for 3rd - 5th graders is all about self expression and ideas. Our classes will include: jewelry making, painting, drawing, air-dry clay, and more. Whether a beginner or advanced artist, we welcome you. The only prerequisite is curiosity.

This program is co-sponsored by Nitzanim and Artaluma, and will be taught by an amazing artistic team: Mia Zimman, Eliz McKoy, and Alice Pennes. Come make, create, and celebrate with us! This will also be a great opportunity for your child’s Nitzanim friendships to grow and deepen.

Torah Lishmah

With Reb Irwin

Torah Lishmah means “learning for its own sake.”

The Torah Lishmah class is an opportunity for young people past B.Mitzvah age to continue their Jewish learning on their own terms. Every month students will meet Reb Irwin at a convenient café. (Coffee is on him.) Together we will explore Jewish texts, history, mythology, philosophy – whatever the class decides they’d like to dive deeper into. This is learning for its own sake – not B.Mitzvah prep, not readying for a test. Learning for the pleasure and enrichment that only learning can provide.
