Ner Shalom is proud to co-sponsor this year’s Yom Hashoah Commemoration.

The focus of this year’s commemoration will be on our local Holocaust survivors. It will include both live and pre-recorded elements featuring video footage of Hans Angress, Al and Susanne Batzdorff, and Ner Shalom member Lillian Judd, z”l.

There will be musical performances by Erica Wisner of Congregation Shomrei Torah, Congregation Ner Shalom’s Good Shabbos Band, and Cantorial Soloist Fredi Bloom. There will also be a candle lighting ceremony honoring Jewish survivors, Roma, Gays & Lesbians, Disabled, Righteous Gentiles, and Political Prisoners during the Holocaust, and those targeted by genocide.

If you would like to submit a name to include in the Memorial Book listing the names of victims of the Shoah remembered by members of our community, please use this form. The names will be displayed on screen during the commemoration and the 2021 Memorial Book will be available as a PDF document on the Jewish Community Center website.
